  • LinkedIn Integration: The integration with LinkedIn is primarily how I use seamless.ai and it’d a godsend. In past sales roles finding my contact’s email address was like pulling teeth. Now with a quick LinkedIn search, it’s mine, simple and easy. I have yet to find limits on how much information I can gather.
  • Search Filters: Seamless.AI does a thorough job of finding contacts by their job title, within specific parts of the country, and within specific industries. If you know the URLs of the websites that you want to search for, it’s even better.
  • High-quality data: Seamless does a great job at what it promises: providing high-quality emails and contact details that you can confidently use in your email and sales campaigns. I particularly like the flexible and powerful search engine.
  • User Experience: It’s easy to use and train others on the team to use. It’s pretty lightweight to browse through and has most of the integrations to the popular CRMs. It is also very cheap compared to the big players like ZoomInfo, so the ability to look up email addresses in real-time is the product’s best feature.

Cons

  • Inaccurate Data: The information pulled from the websites was frequently incorrect. It would pull contact info from different but closely named companies. That caused some problematic initial conversations with prospects that ruined the opportunity completely.
  • Product Outages: We have had a few outages from Seamless, with one outage last month lasting almost 2 days. There was zero contact from the team, so I contacted the VP on LinkedIn. I didn’t get a reply, which worried me because they closed down! There is also no nice way to save searches.
  • Renewal Transparency: There is transparency regarding account renewal; they get your card details from a third party without your approval. Our company card expired, and Seamless got our new card from a third party—I’m not sure how—but we did not approve it, nor did they mention it on any of the contracts we signed.

  • Search Filters: ZoomInfo has the most in-depth sorting and refining abilities when sourcing potential new leads. I feel as though I already know my customers before I make initial contact because ZoomInfo does a great job consolidating all known information.
  • Insights: The competitive insights here are invaluable. Zoominfo makes it easy to subscribe to custom lists based on your constantly updated queries and will alert you when relevant new prospects appear.
  • Buyer Intent: Probably the best feature is the intent data. ZoomInfo lets you search a large, validated database of companies and contacts by topics they are actively researching. So, for example, if you sell CRM software, you can use “CRM software” as a keyword and ZoomInfo will tell you which companies are searching within that category. Not only that, it will tell you the number of instances of those searches and where they originated from.

Cons

  • Pricing: Some competitors offer up to 5 free trials, and only after that do you have to pay to get full access. You cannot get emails and contact numbers unless you purchase a package.
  • Outdated Data: Sometimes, the person’s company/info hasn’t been updated when they’ve moved organizations, but it’s not impeded my work.
  • Inaccurate Data: I think the biggest issue I’ve run into over the years, and a problem that seems to grow more and more, is inaccurate data—i.e., employees who are no longer at the organization, missing contact information, or sometimes listing a personal cell as a business phone (which can lead to upset or irritated prospects).
